CURLYS JEWELS (Wlly) with Coridian

Original Wellington Rock act Curlys Jewels are excited to announce a three date mini-tour across the North Island, including shows in Wellington, Napier and Auckland. Commencing a week after Curlys Jewels’ support NZ icons Head Like A Hole in Lower Hutt May 18th, this unmissable tour will coincide with the release of Curlys Jewels highly-anticipated EP “The Skin We Shed”, that just debuted at #11 on the Official NZ Top 40 NZ Album chart. This outstanding release includes the singles “Terror in Disguise” and the recent Official NZ Top 40 Charts Heat Seeker single “Bastard Fate”, a song which went straight to number one on the iTunes rock charts when it was released. Auckland bands Armed in Advance and Coridian will be joining them on all dates.

Armed In Advance – a three piece who can boast of 5 singles having extensive play across The Rock Network. Their latest album Change/Evolve has set a benchmark for hard hitting, thought provoking songs that have real international quality.

Coridian – is inspired by the distinctive alternative rock of Deftones, Incubus and Karnivool and they balance solid melodic bass, wavering groove rhythms and experimental heavy guitars together with soaring epic vocals. Each instrument is considered a ‘lead’ with its own complex parts, and this includes the vocals – seen as the fourth instrument in their compositions. These layers combine to form a sound that is at times heavy, at times ambient, and sewn together by emotive lyrical themes. As of 2017, Coridian have released the single ‘Alexandria’ (July 2015), the E.P. ‘Oceanic’ (August 2015) and single ‘Blind Faith’ (October 2016). Coridian has played countless shows as well supporting bands such as Skinny Hobos, Silence the City & Armed in Advance and completing two North Island tours. Coridian’s next single will be released May 2017 followed by their 2nd EP and further tours.
